Why are we needed?
Anyone can become homeless. Some were living pay check to pay check and then had an unexpected situation that left them homeless, or they have been trying their best to make a better life, but without support or resources they are stuck. No matter the situation our residents are in when they come to Friendship Mission, they leave with a better chance at a self-sufficient future. Our case management system allows our residents to receive the guidance they need to navigate the personal obstacles and work toward building a plan to stabilize and gain their footing.
Friendship Mission Needs Your Support

Serve With Us
Time is needed just as much as money. It takes many hours for our small staff to run our shelters and public soup kitchen. Volunteers help clean, organize, and do so much more than we can provide alone.

Donate
Donations allow us to operate every single day. Your donations allow us to serve the River Region. Your support benefits Friendship Mission in its work to move those who are homeless toward stability and into homes.

Along with two shelters, we also run a public soup kitchen for those who need a warm meal.
