About Us
About FriendshipMissionUs
Our journey began when Pastor Vince Rosato added cots to the sanctuary of Friendship Presbyterian Church in Hope Hull (Montgomery County), Alabama to give homeless men a safe place to sleep.
Over the years, Friendship Mission has grown. The men’s shelter eventually moved into Montgomery’s city limits and a separate shelter location opened under the same name for women in need who enter shelter with or without children.
Today, Friendship Mission, Inc. continues to serve as a refuge for those who find themselves homeless in the Montgomery area. Friendship Mission is the only emergency shelter program in Montgomery and surrounding counties. The program offers comprehensive services to those who find themselves homeless in our community. Along with its two HUD-approved emergency shelters, residents are provided meals, other basic needs (from clothing to government-issued identification), resource connections, and intense case management to guide them from homelessness to a home. For those who do not live in our shelters but need a meal, there is a public soup kitchen that serves meals daily.
2024 Friends Of Friendship
2024 was our inaugural Friends of Friendship campaign. Our 12 nominees made a tremendous impact to raise money for Friendship Mission. We exceeded our initial goal and raised nearly $15,000! Thank you to all our nominees and donors!
